Hello, my name is Stephen Rogers. My primary purpose in this life is to know myself in the deepest possible way, live from there fully, and teach the most effective tools for human transformation.
I’m not a theorist or a content repeater—I’m a Shen-led teacher–healer–scholar and outlier (or what systems of control would call an outlaw) with an ongoing, full-blown kundalini awakening that’s been unfolding since 1995.
My work carries a real shaktipat-style transmission: awakened consciousness moving through one nervous system to light up another. I’ve spent decades in the trenches with the hard cases—deep trauma, addiction, burnout, and so-called “incurable” conditions—working on body, energy, psyche, and Shen at the same time. I’m not here to hand you a more “spiritual” persona; I’m here to help you experience a direct, embodied awakening into a Shen-led, superhuman life.
My vision is a world where people embody spiritual enlightenment, live in optimal health, wellness, and longevity, and perform at superhuman levels. Everything I do—teaching, healing, writing, or speaking—is devoted to building that world. I welcome your participation and contribution.
Let’s reach for it!

Hello. I'm Stephen Rogers. Since 1995, I've pursued one singular mission: to break through conventional human limitations and extract the frameworks that allow others to do the same. My path as teacher, healer, scholar, and outlier (or what systems of control would call an outlaw) has been driven by direct experimentation rather than learned information.
My vision for the world involves: humans embodying their full biological potential—accessing states of consciousness most consider mystical, achieving physical performance that defies medical boundaries, and experiencing health and longevity that rewrites aging protocols.
Everything I create—from teaching models to healing approaches—serves as grand strides for the systematic activation of dormant human capacity or Transformashen.
This journey calls to those ready to discard comfortable limitations and recover who and what they've always been. This is the revolution I propose.
Reach for it.
Stephen and Erica represent the convergence of rigorous academic training and profound personal awakening—a rare combination that forms the foundation of Shen Life's transformational approach.
Stephen's journey began in 1994 during an unexpected catalyst: while incarcerated for a drug offense, he experienced a spontaneous activation, which continues to this day, of what Eastern traditions call a full blown Kundalini awakening. This profound event initiated a deep study of human potential.

Shortly after his release from prison, Stephen apprenticed under a Japanese Shinto Priest in 1995. This is his first contact with the concepts of Shen, Qi and Jing. His mentor famously told Stephen, "I can teach you God's way, but you must go to school to learn the government's way." So, he went on a scholarly voyage.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor's in Health Studies and a Master's in Oriental Medicine, with doctoral work in Energy Psychology (Psycho-Bioenergetic Studies), Transpersonal Studies and Oriental Medicine. Beyond formal education, Stephen holds professional certifications as a Transformational Coach, Reiki Master, and an Ordained Minister, complemented by specialized training in structural integration bodywork, personal training, integrative movement, and public speaking. His interdisciplinary mastery extends across Noetic Sciences, Yoga, Occult traditions, Biblical Studies, Semiotics, Mythology, Peak Performance, Libertarian philosophy, natural law, and free market economics—creating an integrated framework for understanding human potential. Currently, Stephen focuses on teaching, coaching and writing the Shen Life Models, while finishing his doctorates in Oriental Medicine and Energy Psychology.
Erica's path intersected with Stephen's through what appeared as chance, but proved to be alignment. Following his mentorship, she systematically built her expertise through certifications and trainings in massage therapy, structural integration, personal training, integrative movement, holistic healing, and public speaking. Concurrently, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with a Health Science focus at the University of Central Florida, later followed by a second Bachelor's in Holistic Health Sciences. Her background in design and digital marketing built upon her foundation in dance and performing arts, creating a unique synthesis of embodied wisdom and practical application. Along her journey, Erica became certified as a Transformational Coach and Holistic Health Practitioner, and was ordained as a Minister for the Shen Life Trust. Currently, while managing Shen Life's daily operations and communications, she pursues a dual Masters and Doctorate in Natural Health.
The earliest iterations of the Shen Life framework started with Stephen's private clients back in 1996. The model was tested and refined through intensive work with over 2,000 students at their Los Angeles center in the early 2000s, after which they transitioned to a remote client model with occasional in-person healing and live events in 2007, continuously evolving their approach with each client's transformation. Together with their family of wolf dogs, they walk the path to embody Shen Life. Join them in exploring human potential.

Are you ready to join the Shen Life Pack?
The Shen Life community is called The Pack, named for Bella, China, Atlas, Lupa, Vishen, Raven, and Sisu.
It started at Dog Beach in Santa Barbara. We didn’t even have dogs. A guy showed up with two wolfdog mixes, and that was the first hook.
Later, in Montana—our first winter—we saw a café sign: Wolfdog puppies for sale. We went “just to look.” We were done. They became winter therapy (we don’t ski), and a form of birth control—Erica’s maternal drive found an outlet.
Wolfdogs don’t let you fake it. They pull you into presence and remind you there’s a wild intelligence inside you—instinct, order, perception—that gets boxed up in domestication or civilization.
To encourage you to continue along the Shen Life path, here are some writings to rattle your noggin and inspire you onward.

Most people have a spiritual life the way they have a gym membership.
It's on the list. They identify with it. They might even show up occasionally. But it's not running the show. It's a feature — not the operating system.
So what does it actually mean to live a spiritual life? A Shen Life?
The easiest way to answer that is to say what it's not.
It isn't a belief system. You can believe every word of every sacred text ever written and still be completely disconnected from the living experience those texts point toward. Belief without contact is just a more sophisticated version of secondhand information. It's the menu, not the meal.
It isn't being nice. Kindness is fine. But niceness as a spiritual strategy is usually survival kung fu — people-pleasing dressed in a robe. A lot of "spiritual" people are performing goodness while their inner world is a war zone. That's not a Shen Life. That's a persona with better branding.
It isn't reading or listening to spiritual material. Books, podcasts, lectures, retreats — they can point you in a direction. But consuming content about the inner life is not the same as living one. You can read every map ever drawn and never leave the house.
It isn't being in a spiritual community or lifestyle. The clothes, the crystals, the circles, the ceremonies. None of it is wrong. But proximity to spiritual culture doesn't produce spiritual contact any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
It isn't pondering spiritual thoughts. Thinking about God, consciousness, the nature of reality — that's philosophy. Philosophy lives in the head. A Shen Life lives in the body. There's a canyon between the two.
And it's definitely not advertising it. The t-shirts. The tattoos. The Instagram bio that reads "lightworker" or "awakened soul." If your spiritual life needs a marketing department, it's not a spiritual life. It's an identity project.
And it's not a chemical shortcut. The DMT trip. The ayahuasca ceremony. The mushroom journey where you met the machine elves and came back convinced you'd touched the face of God. Psychedelics can crack a window — but cracking a window isn't the same as living in the house. A substance-induced glimpse is still a borrowed experience. It came through a chemical key, not through the development of your own system. And chasing the next trip to feel what you can't access sober isn't a spiritual path. It's dependency wearing a headdress.
A Shen Life is a tangible, felt connection between your spiritual nature and your human nature.
Not an idea about connection. Not a memory of connection from a retreat three years ago. Not a hope that connection might happen someday when you're more evolved.
A living, moment-to-moment, somatic experience of the two dimensions of your being — spirit and body — operating together.
At the beginning level, this shows up as feeling states: love, bliss, peace. Not as emotions triggered by circumstances — as qualities that arise from contact with Shen. You don't need a reason to feel them. They're the natural signal of a system that's connected to its source.
At higher levels, it becomes something else entirely: complete freedom. Not freedom from responsibility or from being human. Freedom from being run by the survival machinery that most people mistake for who they are.
Freedom from the persona parade.
Freedom from reactivity as a lifestyle.
Freedom to respond to life from Shen instead of from fear, conditioning, and inherited programming.
That's a Shen Life. Not a concept. A lived state.
Most people exist in the gap between knowing about this and experiencing it.
They've read enough to understand the idea. They've had enough glimpses to believe it's real. They may have even tasted it — a moment of inexplicable peace, a flash of unity, a breath where everything went quiet and something vast opened up.
But then the moment passed. The persona came back. The survival machinery rebooted. And the connection became a memory instead of a baseline.
That gap — between the glimpse and the ground — is where most spiritual seekers spend their entire lives.
They keep reaching for the next peak experience. The next teacher. The next technique. The next retreat that might finally make it stick.
But the issue was never access. It was never a lack of information or the wrong technique.
The issue is that the survival system — the personas, the conditioning, the reactive nervous system — keeps pulling attention back into its orbit. And as long as attention is captured by survival, Shen stays in the background.
Connection requires attention. And attention that's monopolized by the persona parade is not available for Shen.
The path to a Shen Life is simple to describe:
Reclaim your attention from survival. Direct it toward Shen. Hold it there long enough for the connection to stabilize. Repeat until the connection becomes your default — not your peak experience.
That's it.
Simple — and one of the most challenging things a human being can undertake.
Because everything in the organism will resist it. The personas will fight for the wheel. The conditioning will surface and scream. The nervous system will throw every alarm it has to pull you back to the familiar.
That resistance isn't a sign you're failing. It's a sign you're doing the work. The survival system doesn't fight what isn't threatening it. And nothing threatens it more than a human being who's decided to let Shen take the captain's chair.
Here's how you know whether you're living a Shen Life or performing one:
Is the connection felt — or thought? If it's a concept in your head, it's philosophy. If it's a sensation in your body, you're getting closer.
Is it consistent — or occasional? A Shen Life isn't a weekend state. It's a daily baseline that deepens over time. Not perfect. Not unbroken. But present — like a hum underneath the noise.
Does it change how you move — or just how you talk? If your relationships, your decisions, your reactions, and your body haven't changed, the connection hasn't landed yet. It's still in the head. The body is the proof.
Can you sit alone in a quiet room and feel it? No props. No music. No teacher. No community holding the field. Just you — and whatever arises when there's nothing left to perform. If the connection is real, it's there. If it's not, you know exactly where the work is.
You don't need to become someone else to live a Shen Life.
You need to stop being run by the someone else you've been pretending to be.
Strip the personas. Feel what's underneath. Let Shen surface — not as an idea, but as the living intelligence that's been waiting quietly behind every mask you've ever worn.
That's not self-improvement.
That's homecoming.
