First, what's 'Shen?'

Shen is a term most commonly found in the Chinese language, but has primordial roots. Variations are found in the Slavic Vedas, the Old Testament (Torah) of the Bible and more ancient texts, the meanings vary slightly based on the context. In our case, the simple definition is God, Spirit and/or Source. You!

From The Bible

In the Old Testament, there's the land of Goshen, which is considered "the best part" of the land of Egypt. It's a place of refuge or safety. Another location, Shen, is found in the Book Of Samuel, meaning "tooth" or "peak." It indicated the position of a stone in connection with the victory over the Philistines. Symbolically, this points to the pineal gland (stone) and its connection to Spirit and victory over life.

In Eastern Healing Arts

In Chinese, Oriental Medicine, and Taoist Shamanism, Shen is a word which means God, Spirit, Creator, deity, divinity, or all aspects of consciousness.

The Japanese equivalent is Shin, which means the innermost essence of a person, encompassing their thoughts, emotions, and spirit. Found in the spiritual folk tradition of Shinto and more.

Mystery Schools

The word Shen in ancient Egyptian means to encircle. The Shen Ring, which is a symbol found on the walls of the Great Pyramids, is a 1 and a 0 or rod and circle bound together. It shows the male and female completely unified and inseparable meaning Oneness.

In the Slavic-Aryan Vedas Book of the Wisdom of Perun, Vishen is considered the 'Local Top God."

Is this a religion?

No!

In the truest sense, most religions or philosophies are educational models that empower the student to become their own teacher, healer, and visionary. In essence, models provide good maps for individuals to explore the uncharted territories within.

Unfortunately, some people do not follow the map to take the journey themselves. Rather, they study the map's details and become expert map readers. This leads to group think. Almost all the negative stuff attributed to religions spawns from this behavior. Shen Life is a comprehensive framework or model for whole person development and beyond.

Is Shen Life a cult?

The root of the word culture is “cult.” In this sense, every group is a cult or promotes a certain culture that participants subscribe to by engaging. However, the term “cult,” as we’ve come to know it, implies a diabolical control system that produces automatons to the benefit of the leaders.

Shen Life is about you becoming free from limitations and mediocrity to reach your full potential. To do this, you must be a sovereign ruler of your life, free of group think. So, no, this is not a cult. Besides, the copycat behavior of automatons or devotees of any cult-ure is creepy AF!

What if I’m too afraid to face my fears?

Put simply, if you want to reach your full potential, then facing your fears comes with the exploration within. There are no shortcuts, except by facing your fear.

Jesus gave the best advice about this type of concern in [KJV] Matthew 7:20, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

It's wise to investigate or follow the path braved by pioneers before you when traveling to any destination, because that's about where you'll end up.
